P08 Leather Holster Demo
1. Although pictures worth a million of words, Here is a simple description of the process to go along with the pictrues.

2. Work out the pattern on the paper (you can use a Dragon plastic holster for reference). Cut and adhere the pattern to the leather and trim out the leather accordingly .

6. make sure you have the exact spacing between each hole

9.for tight fit, you must run the string twice (back & forth)

10. Depending on the thickness, sometimes it is necessary to peel off the back of the leather in order to achieve good result, such as the corner of the flap shown here...read on..

11. understandable that it is rather difficult to authentically reflect some of parts of the full scale leather gears on the 1/6, I found an alternative, here, by folding and gluing, the result is yet satisfy on the corners of the 1/6 holster flap,

12. The spare magazine pouch on the side is glued to the holster

13. finally, sew the strap and the assembly is completed, move on to the next step, weathering

14. Fresh before finishing

15. put the pistol in the holster and brush the holster with detergent to get rid of the gloss, then clear it with water

16. while the whole piece is still wet, press the holster with fingers for a better shape

17. then dry it with the hair dryer

18. slightly scrape with sand paper on the corners or where you think it is appropriate

19. Pastel, a very favorable ingredient of model weathering, mix the colors according to your preference

20. apply the powder either by fingers or dry brush
