Leather Squadron Patch ( 1 )

1. Prepare all necessary tools and respective color leather pieces according to the patch.

2. Photocopy the original patch and cut out each detail of the pattern.

3. Place the patterns on the leather, secure with tape and cut out the patterns with a cutter or leather scissor.

4. Glue every piece according to the original pattern.

 5.  Punch holes evenly along edges of the patterns and sew on nylon threads.  Maintain even strength when sewing to produce neat and even stitches.

 6. For the figure on the pattern, repeat procedure as step No. 5.

7. To produce a 3-D effect, highlight respective areas with oil base marker.

8. Use a pencil to trace out the details of the body parts and repeat step No. 5

9. Cut out the pattern of the eyes from a piece of white leather and glue on face of figure, outline all details on face with black nylon threads.  Use gel glue to secure the knots on the bottom of the patch.

10. Punch out two 2.55mm circle pieces from a piece of light blue leather as the iris of eyes, and punch a 0.5mm on the piece as for the pupil and cut a slit on the center with a cutter. With the help of clear tape, glue them onto the eye of the figure.

11. For the thong – thread brown nylon thread around the head of the thong and fixed to position, then sew onto the patch using zigzag stitches to produce a distinct texture effect.

12. Finished 487th FIGHTER SQUADRON PATCH !!
